    I have a Hoover tumble drier model HDC6UK which will only work when you hold the switch in i ordered a new on off switch but the new switch does not switch is this because it is operated through a relay or is the new switch faulty ?

    think you need the relay pcb that is just behind the facia but not quite as easy as it looks to change.
