Participantgot a pcb form dw1 410 , component marked q11 which lines up next to wiring plug c has blown ….
checked wiring dia to see where wiring from c connetor goes to , wires run to something they call vent …
any ideas what vent is ..

It’s a DWI410. 😉
The vent is most likely the dryer as that one, from what I can see, does the old fanned/vented drying trick through the grill.

just had a look at service manual (ta k ).. cant see a blower component ,
i have ordered pcb, heater , dispensor , hopefully this will cure it ..
will update asp ..
ps any other info on what took out pcb appreciated …

whats the chances that its this blower that has taken out pcb ,
dont know if im over analysing pcb ..??anyone had this b4 ..

KeymasterDepends what voltage it’s switching, if it’s mains then possible, low voltage then I doubt it. Although, all things are possible.
The blower fan or heater should just be a simple continuity check to test so I’d start there. If the bits seem okay it’s probably just a resistor or relay on the board that’s been fried and taken out the track/s.

not just pcb failure , been there.
im a bit of a fan for following pcb connector terminals to components usually leads to culprit,ive not been to this , so relying on avail info and failed pcb .. which i only got yesterday, after been lying around in eng van…
insu job , not dag ..just want to make sure all part covered for return
swine of a think to access etc ..ally
