    DWF410SS slimline dishwasher showing E1.

Base was flooded. No obvious signs of any leaks although I though I saw a few drips coming from around the white plastic sump area.

    Questions,

Does this model suffer from oversoaping ? They are using 5 – 1 Powerballs.

Is the sump seal a known leak source ?

If it is, what is the part number of the sump seal ?

Set it to a short wash and it ran through OK, problem is that it has to be disconnected from all plumbing to get it out so testing is not that easy. :rolls:

I have had overfoaming issues on these machines. Also opening the door during the cycle. Same issues as Bosch machines really.

I have also had leaks from the fill chamber on the right side of the machine. (Side panel off and a liberal amount of silicone sealant around the connections.) Give it 24 hours before use, which can be tricky if you have had to disconnect hoses to get it out.

Thanks Tim, I’m waiting until they have tried it on a full wash to see how it goes.

As Tim says, the airbox leaks where it joins the softener unit (left side). I have found an instant fix for this with no adhesives and no waiting. Unclip the airbox and remove the ‘O’ rings. Fit 2 small section ‘O’ rings on the end of the nozzles (they must stretch to fit) and slide them up to the shoulder. Refit the original ‘O’ rings and push the nozzles back into the softener unit until the clip clicks into place. The small ‘O’ rings sit inside the larger original ones and when compressed, take up the shrinkage in the original ‘O’ rings and the stretch in the airbox clip. Never had one leak again. 😉

    Hope that helps,

    Steve.

Jim, if it is leaking from the sump seal, just tighten the screws from the inside under the filter, for some reason they become loose or the seal shrinks over time, not sure which.
other than that, almost certainly the o rings as mentioned, clean up the old ones and double up by fitting 2 new ones as well, there is room for 2 and no re calls.

    Re: One for the ‘Smegheads’

Just one question, Tim has the ‘fill chamber’ on the right and Steve has the ‘softener unit’ on the left.

As I always quote left and right looking from the front which is it to be? 🙂

    Re: One for the ‘Smegheads’

After all this time this customer has just rung to say that it is doing the same thing again.

They stopped using the combination tablets which seems to have helped but I am going to go back and check out the ‘O’ rings mentioned above.

Is there a known part number for these ‘O’ rings?

    Jim.

Anyone got a couple of these ‘O’ rings they could let me have for a small consideration, having difficulty obtaining them. 😥
