Participantjust got our 1st online threat ,
all because we didnt reply quick enough by phone , even though i was bouncing emails back and fourth to the same customer .
online inquiry – rural area i though i would be nice and answer real quick with lots of info likley prices etc and i would check if we can over their area ..
in between this some nasty emails crept into inbox – re service isnt good enough the phones engaged , they demand a phone call after 4 now .bla bla bla
i replied sorry we dont have any cover for you area .. she then calls up to check i was telling the truth – huh me not telling the truth .
anyway her last words before she put the phone down was
ill give you a nice review on trip adviser , that’s a new one on me – i thought this site done holiday etc
ill give her as good as she gets , will wait and see
this online review thingy is getting to be a bit of a tool for these types of customers .

For a small fee Funky I can go on-line and give you shed loads of good reviews. ๐
E.g : “…These guys are awesome”………”they called and fixed my doo dah before I could put the phone down!”…….I wouldn’t think of calling anyone else out to sort my problems”……” Miracles are done whilst I waited, fantastic service, I don’t know how they can do it so cheap!….”

Perhaps if you stopped noising them up or insulting them that might change. ๐

You can usually spot a d88k head by their comments.
An example that annoyed me was a local Spanish restaurant, a tapas bar me and the OH are friends of the owners. I was reading on Trip advisor a terrible review, only one circle, the guy slated the place. Now the owner has run his own business in Southern Spain, Southern France and the UK, he’s a sommelier and has worked for some of the top restaurants around London.
This muppet complained the dish portions where too small, its a Tapa’s bar, that is what Tapa is, also the food is fried and too greasy. He backs his comments with “I’ve lived in Spain for 5 yrs and this place bears no resemblance to authentic Spanish cuisine”.Tell that to the cook, she was born and raised in Spain, she’s been cooking in Spain for the best part of 45 yrs and her son 25 yrs.
I’m still angry and I’m not the owner. There are a lot of fried dishes in Spain, I got married in Spain and of the 7 courses in the wedding meal there is always a tradition of having a fried course, we had sheeps brains, in batter, I’m sure Mr Critic hasn’t had that in his 5 yrs in Spain.
I defo need a holiday.

One of our staff decided we needed a Facebook page, I hate the thing but fair doโs.
So a customer posted a massive rant about how awful we are, how we broke her cooker and so on. Unfortunately, she missed out a couple of key facts: Weโd spent ยฃ167.24 on a new oven door as hers had fallen off/hinges snapped etc, and it was a fixed fee chargeable. We attend, our engineer gets nothing but abuse from her husband as he removed the knackered hinges, when he doesnโt respond to the customer โ husband turns round and kicks the brand new door through. Of course, weโre left with some bad press on FB, Yell etcetc, which we removed as completely inaccurate- but in this day and age โ thatโs all people need to see.
