Have a look on Facebook and see what you think. Now they are putting a Beko 9KG washer as a prize. Last time it was Smeg fridge/freezer in a choice of colour.
I tend to follow it to keep me informed on what on the market and the current prices rather me window shopping at Comet.
I am not aware if they are with us as member of UKW if so, then show me the thread.

Like all DRL’s websites they run under famous names, they never truely make it clear who the customer will be buying from, i know a very large manufacturer has asked them to start to stock heavily their appliances and also make it clear to customers who they are buying from, dont think DRL liked it to much but dont really have a choice if they want to sell that manufacturers brands.
I dont understand how DRL can run websites under the names of Boots, Appliances Online etc and the customer thinks that they are buying from a famous name only to find out that they are not, surely trading standards need to take a look.September 8, 2011 at 8:14 am #358442kwatt

I think the OFT are looking at this sort of thing DrDill. I get the gist that they’re not exactly impressed either.

Do we know what the official line from OFT? I looked at the thread on connect and their roles on selling spares under various brands. I get the feeling that we are not the only one who finds this unfair, I can’t think of any other industry being in the same boat with different manufacturer.
I could be wrong, I got the impression that gas fitters are finding the same issue with their own suppliers.
More to the point, recently I have been getting complaints from customers on the price of new appliances and complains being held to ransom on the cost of repair nevertheless the repair option will trumps over new appliance. Maybe we are winning after all? My thought the competition are being distorted and there’s very little to compare on prices on new appliances.
