You know how it is , it sits in the wash house doing its thing , 😀 . not bothering me !! 😉

Yesterday whilst having a clearout of old paperwork, I came across the ISE stuff…. eeek!! approaching the end of it warranty ( 5yrs)…

Can any one point me in the direct of getting this warranty extended ?? .

I’m not into DIY repairs now , getting too old/lazy 😉

    here’s hoping ..

Re: Our ISE Washer getting to the end of its warranty

    Hi Chris,

We looked at doing the extended warranty thing and found that all the options were, in our opinion, too expensive. Some just stupidly so.

Not for ISE, they’d make money out promoting and selling them but for customers the costs were high as, after five years, about the only option is a rolling monthly warranty.

It works out that you can pay for an average service call a year and have change to spare from that. So, if you are a high use user then it can be worth it but, if not then it’s actually a high cost for the facility.

Not long after starting this thread.
I actually walked past our washroom , whilst the ISE was running, its not often on in the evenings.

Thinks!! that sounds a bit noisy !! Open the door and eeek!! never heard anything quite like it ..

That rather loud I though !? then it swtiched on to faster spin and it could drown out a Space shuttle launch .. 😀 😀

    Shut door quick & walk away !! 😉 😉

Waited til it had finished its cycle , and ooer there’s play
in the drum bearings, quick dash to the paperwork folder. phew ! still in warannty, so it being taken away today to sort out.

    So..

Any recomemndations for an extended warranty company that doesn’t have too many crippling clauses and doesn’t want to awrite off the machine the first time it goes caput!! 😉

I don’t know to say that was good luck or bad! 😉

In all honesty, these days, I’d struggle to recommend one.

I’ve got a personal problem with these things as they’re all intended to make the company offering the warranties money, not save you cash. Hence the impression on here tends to be that they’re not worth the trouble mostly and why we don’t profit by advertising such things, UKW is a bit funny that way with all these morals standing in the way of cash generation. 😉

Same applies to fixed cost service calls as I was discussing the other day, of course there are times where the customer will win and get a good deal out it but, most will lose as that’s the only way that the companies offering those sorts of services can win.

Just look at how much of Currys or Comet’s profits rely on the sales of warranties.
