sorry if this is a silly question it’s not specific to a particular make of washer. i get a lot of customers who’s machines won’t spin with a load in but will empty. naturally it’s oob load yet they swear blind they’ve done loads the same for years without issues. my question is can a washer become more sensitive to out of balance loads with age?

To prove there is a unbalanced load get a hot water bottle fill with water and put on spin that’s how I prove it, and yes the new machines have 3g aswell as 3d sensors 1 which will be on motor and 1 on backplane hope this help explain it

Some machines can suffer OOB as they get older, as the suspension weakens and on certain machines a very slightly stretched belt ( not obvious from looking at it ) can also lead to OOB.
