ParticipantHi gents 😀 .
Does anybody know what adhesive manufacturers use to fix the metal brackets to the glass doors on ovens?.
I`ve got an old Credaplan single oven with the model number missing that needs either a new door or the existing one `reglued`.
I`ve got a feeling this thread may have been mentioned before but I can`t find it.
Thanks. Chris.

Hi Chris,
the old Credaplan ovens used to hide the model ident along the lower edge of the bottom trim. The only way to see it was to get your eyes lower than the trim and look up, bang in the middle. All ovens began with 48XXX and three other digits. Just in case you need to go back at all…

That sersil1 sealant is only rated up to 230degrees. The one I use is Ambersil 1008A Engineering Adhesive Sealant which is rated to 300degrees and I’ve never had one fail. I get it from a local Qualtex supplier but I don’t know if it’s a Qualtex part. I can find out if anyone’s interested. It’s expensive at about £10 for a 75ml tube.
