Oven & grill not working – Zanussi ZBS 773

Hi,

The oven & the grill on my Zanussi ZBS 773 electric oven are not working at all.

All control lights, buttons, clock etc work fine as do the oven light & fan.

I’m thinking it’s not the elements as the oven & the grill don’t work? (I don’t have a multi-meter here to check them).

Could it be the thermostat?

It hardly seems to have been used so everything looks in good condition.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

the clock may work but is it in manual mode ?

Hi Dave.

I think it is. There is no timer set on it or anything.

Do you know how I double check its in manual mode?

just looked up your model and it seems the electronics control everything

from that I would expect it may be a board fault and difficult to fix yourself without expert help

Hmmm, was worried that might be the case about the electrics.

Gonna pull it out & have a look at the board etc just incase it’s anything obvious.

OK, so been told it’s an electrical fault with one of the two circuit boards (not sure which one as i’m in France & my language skills are not good enough to understand 😉 ).

They also said the part is unavailable.

I’m sure I can get hold of one but without knowing which board is faulty it’s not gonna work out.

So I guess thats it, new oven time 🙁

Seams a real shame to dump this oven when it’s in such good shape otherwise.

Unless you guys have any other ideas on how to diagnose the board?
