    I have an AEG hob model 67600KF-N and the front two hobs are not working. You can see the heat setting but they both then display ‘F’ indicating fail. The back two work ok. Apart from turning off/on and cleaning the affected two I’m at a loss as to why they aren’t working.
    Any help appreciated.

    is the “F” constant or flashing

    these units are complex to repair but one thing you can look at is the mains connector. turn off at mains. and check the connector to make sure none of the screws are loose

    It flashes Dave. I should have pointed out that prior to this going wrong my girlfriend put her non induction saucepan on the hob.

    putting the wrong pan should not damage it as it detects the correct pans
