Hi guys any help please my Diplomat ADP3310 is not heating up when using the oven, the grill is heating OK but not when switched to oven setting, I recently purchased a new element not 6 weeks ago and had it checked in work by an electrician who put a supply to it and it heated up, he also checked the resistance which was 27.6 ohms so think element is fine, the only other thing I can think of is the switch itself, if it is how can I test it before purchasing a new one.

does the neon light next to the oven temp selector come on?

The oven element was checked, and the neon temp light is on but oven is cold the temp light goes on and off when grill is selected, so believe this would rule out the thermostst.

Could well be the oven selector switch that’s gone then. The spare part is here if you need it.
You should be able to check it visually though as normally when they go it’s pretty obvious.
