I have an unusual problem with our NewWorld gas oven/grill.
When lighting the oven using the knob, the grill also tries to ignite itself. None of them fires up. If a match is used to light up the oven and the flames kick in, the grill can be heard and seen trying to ignite itself even though no gas emits. We are however reluctant to continue using it due to the annoying sound of the grill constantly trying to ignite and fear gas may escape and cause a bang.
Anyone experience same problem and has a solutuon for our family please?

Sounds like the ignition pack is faulty, this is not a DIY gas repair. You can search for an engineer near you from our own find an engineer link here if you don’t have one already.
Yes I agree, do not use the oven until this is sorted.
Both the oven and grill works off the same ignitor so both will spark at the same time. This will normally be caused by dirty jets in the oven ,grease build up or the flame not going into the ignition candle. They work on rectification. So will need an engineer who is qualified.
