ParticipantHi everyone
Sorry to barge straight in looking for help. I came across you whilst googling a solution to my problem and was very impressed by your knowledge……….so I joined And am hoping you knowledgeable people can point me in the right direction 😀As I said, my oven won’t turn on It’s a Beko OIF22300XL – single built in fan oven – not hardwired. (get me! lol) Things is have tried so far…………….nothing! lol Well, I’ve googled 😀 I now know how to replace the element (piece of cake :-D) but I’m wondering if it’s the element that is causing the problem?
All that is working on the unit is the digital display, which suggest to me that the plug fuse is ok. I’ve checked my circuit board thingy and everything is as it should be – i.e. nothing tripped.
My doubts that the element is at fault stem from the fact that nothing else works – I would assume the fan would kick in, and also the interior light would come on – even the grill………….or am I just being my usual blonde numpty?
If any of you lovely people could help, that would be great Thanks in advance

The finger of suspicion points to the timer. Try switching between Auto and Manual to see if that frees off the switch?

roughly things that would come to mind on a basic oven if its wired in a basic way
1 timer on auto if has one
2 door or hinge micro switch faulty if it has one
3 terminal block burn,t /not tight
4 come away or burn,t connection at top
5 faulty timer /does it have a grill does that still work?
6 oh try another socket in case something strange going onFebruary 24, 2013 at 2:11 pm #390828corkscrew28
