ParticipantHi I have a Candy GO F462-80 that is boiling on every wash even when selecting cold wash. It is crazy hot. I have replaced the Temperature sensor with no effect it is still boiling away.
Can you suggest what to try next?
Does this model have a thermostat as well as a temp sensor?Thank you

Can only be PCb then. Heater relay is most probably stuck on. Temp sensor feeds direct to PCb which in turn would switch off the heater. Did you use a cans thermister. There are two types both having different values.

HI Bryan-206 I dont know if I used a cans thermistor i found the part no for the temp sensor and ordered the same one. If it is the PCb will i need an engineer to change it I’ll have a go at most things but engineer i am not. Have checked out the part and it’s pretty pricy around £70 if I also need an engineer The costs starts to add up, there are some pretty good bargains in comet at the Mo.
Hi Bob. Selector switch? do you mean the knob where you choose the program, scuse my ignorance.2babecom

Hi
Ok so i ordered a new pcb or circuit board and got the same part number.
it was called a Electronic control INVENSYS not program.
Now when i fitted it and plugged the machine back in all that happens is i get a flashing light and machine will not work.
I put the old one back in and it works but obviously still has the old problem.
So even though i ordered the same part number i was a bit dubious about the not programme bit, do you think this is why its not working with the new part.
They had one that was marked as programme but it was a diff part number to the old one.
So im £70 down and will probably now need to buy a new machine 😥October 3, 2012 at 8:24 pm #381938BobHope

what was the part number you ordered and what is the product code for your appliance.
Bob.

the part i bought from ransomspares.co.uk
it is part number RS154714 on their site
The part i took out of the machine has the candy part number 41027268 which when i checked it against the candy service manual it says its a 479t Electronic control INVENSYS not program
So i thought it would be ok as my machine is gof462-80
Thanks

But two highly experienced engineers have pointed you towards the selector switch, BobHope in his first post and helo_75 who just happens to work for Hoover/Candy. Have you thought of taking their advice, it would have been a much cheaper fix compared to a pcb that is the wrong part . 😉

😀
So, did you try helo_75’s suggestion?
You could also have asked for help in identifying the correct part before you bought it.
I await the wrath of the forum admin. 8)
