Customer bought in NE1757 commercial Pan m/w with F44 intermittently showing in display. We replaced Membrane Switch and sent her away a happy bunny. Low and behold F44 is showing again. Service manual says cause is shorted key board and that the timing of failure indication is when the keyboard is shorted for more than 30 seconds. Any bright ideas????

    Hi,

Only a microwave leakage from the magnetron seal, scewing up the electronics.

Was a regular on the old Philips 710’s if anyone remembers them.

Haven’t done one for ages but seem to remember there is a mod…they are extremelt prone to getting steam in the membrane switch. If memory serves the mod is something silly like a piece of sellotape along the bottom edge of the membrane housing (i’m sure Panasonic did supply some very expensive tape) 😯
