ParticipantHi Error H43 is …Water leak detector detecting water in the bottom plate/tray if you put machine on its back Carefully undo the screws in font of you or whip back cover off then get tired as there are a dozen or screws and dry out and then see where da water is coming from usually from da soap dish as her indoors is using too much soap Comet are selling da machine for approx £500 sooooo wot a bargain….

Hi Jess .Last time i looked at the machine the only thing i noticed was
a gate valve operated possibly by some sort of a stepper motot built into
sump .Very strange .I have seen a leak detecter on a bosch that machine had a solid base , but the Panasonic has a hole in the base like most washers.I will have a look and report back .Thanks for the reply.September 21, 2010 at 3:04 pm #330602bazza500

That hole in the base should be filled with a plastic plate and gasket. The switch which detects the leak is screwed to the rear of the machine at the centre and sits on the baseplate.

ParticipantYeah yr right bazza There also a little sensor on the top of the pump housing…. its usually to much soap in dish causing leak, the dam thing only uses minimal water so you can be mean with the soap….
