    Hi All,

Don’t usually look at Microwaves but this is a favor for a friend.
It starts up as normal light comes on turntable turns but after a few seconds it cuts out the display goes blank. You can restart it again but exactley the same happens.
Have checked the fuses, both OK.
    No physical signs of burning
    Any ideas please

    John

Check the operation of the damper motor/cam.If that is ok it will more than likely be the inverter and magnetron.

It activates a shutter next to the magnetron. When it is on microwave, the shutter should be open allowing air to circulate, and when on oven it should be closed.

If you don’t have access to a microwave leakage meter it’s probably best to leave them alone.
