Customer phoned today that their Panasonic NA-147VB2 washing machine was making a terrible noise and shaking itself to pieces across the kitchen floor.
They thought the main bearings had gone?
Went round there and took off the lid and found the rear top black drum weight hanging round the back of the drum and all three studs missing to attach it to the plastic drum. Any engineers had trouble with Panasonic drums throwing off the moulded top weight. The unit is around five years old and cannot think of an easy way to keep the weight bolted back on as the plastic outer drum seems to have sheared off the fixing points to the drum.
