A splendiferous spring morning me hearties,

don’t look at many Panasonic washing machines and this one (NA-168VG4) is so irratic that the belt is coming off during early stage of wash. Bearings and belt are fine. Could it be anything to do with 3D sensor? No error codes showing.

    I am all ears…

    Thanks,
    SImon

what do you mean by irratic ?

have had belts slip off pulleys. most of the time its either a worn belt, the elastic losing tention, or , dust on the pulley acting like a lubricant so the belt slips off

    Thanks Dave,

whenever the drum turns it’s very jumpy as though the signal to the motor is at best intermittent.
The effect is that the drum jerks about and after a short time throws off the belt.
It’s almost like the motor is getting conflicting signals to suddenly turn in the opposite direction.

sound a bit like a tacho problem like the board does not know what speed the motor is doing

    this may help
