A quick question that I think I know the answer to but would like confirmation please.
I have just been repairing the above microwave after the relay PCB went bang, I have repaired all the tracks and replaced the 3 transistors that control relays for the motors, the only part of the microwave that I can’t get to operate is the convection fan – am I right in thinking that this fan should operate the whole time when the unit is in convection mode or is there a set of conditions that need to be met first? I can’t find the answer within the service manual but suspect that that one pin on the main processor is duff.
Re: Panasonic NN-A574SBBTQ Microwave – Convection Fan
Just a thought:
If it is described as a convection oven it relies on the mass of air rising with the heat and thus circulating the air,if the fan is involved it would be described as a fan oven and not convection.
What cooking options does it have ?
Re: Panasonic NN-A574SBBTQ Microwave – Convection Fan
All the heat is supplied by the 2 quartz heaters in the roof (there are no other elements in it) – the fan that isn’t turning is also in the roof, the options are “Grill”, “Convection”, “Microwave”, “Combination”
I thought “Convection” was a strange name but it isn’t quite a fan oven either.
Re: Panasonic NN-A574SBBTQ Microwave – Convection Fan
I thought that it probably should as I couldn’t see any difference between it and the grill otherwise – looks like I am going to have to quote a replacement control board then as it goes to a Panasonic own brand processor.
