Parkinson Cowan cooker – main oven not working, rest normal

I have a Parkinson Cowan SIG555. The hob and top oven work fine, both gas supply and electric ignition. I have a problem with the main oven and digital clock/timer, which are not working.
The main oven doesn’t seem to have a gas supply and there is no click of the electric ignition. Also, the oven light and the digital clock on the front have stopped working.

If anyone can suggest anything that I can do to rectify this problem or whether an engineer is required to fix it.

As the oven is over 8 years old I would like to know whether it can be repaired economically or I should bite the bullet and buy a new one.

Hi: As it’s a Gas appliance we are not allowed to give out any repair information on it, your best bet would be to either contact a local appliance engineer who is Gas Safe registered or check the UKWG repairs@ section to see if we list a Gas Safe engineer in your area.

I know that under the regulations you are not allowed to give advice on repairing it. I was hoping to know whether it could be repaired by an engineer and whether it would be economically viable.

Unfortunately without seeing the appliance & assessing it, I seriously doubt any engineer would be able to give you an idea of the cost involved.
