With aid fro helpful members on this forum I found out what was probably wrong with my Oven:-
Help needed please. The grill elements in my top oven go to full heat no matter what setting I put it on. They will both work independently, and together, but still with the same fault. They both seem to work ok on the normal oven setting but have yet to have them checked with a ‘meter thingy’. From reading other posts am I right in thinking it could be the grill regulator (6204034) and/or the main selector switch TBH, (6201720) don’t really know what TBH means! Simmerstat seems to be mentioned a couple of times but I’m not sure if this relates to the same problem. Would appreciate any feedback Thanks in advance

    Hi,

Yes, it will be the regulator that is faulty by the sounds of it, I’d be close to 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} certain.

I have had someone to look at my oven who now says you cannot get parts for this model due to Indesit taking over the company. Does any one know if this correct and am I fighting a loosing battle trying to get it fixed? New oven here I come.

No it’s just the regulator that’s at fault by the sounds of it.

If you email Dave on spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk he should be able to tell you which one to use but it should be a dual regulator I think if you can control two halves of the grill independently from the one control.

He’ll also be able to confirm the availability.
