pat testing.

i’m posting this here bcause nobody seems to read the related trades forum.
i am however an appliance engineer in the northumberland. we now have a growing pat test business which we started as the repair side is undeniably in decline. i’m keen to get in touch with other pat testers to build up business by joining forces to lobby the powers that be to enforce their own statutory requirements. whereas i know that all businesses should have a testing regime in place, and most dont, my main interest is in holiday accomodation. the tourist board grading schemes require appliance safety chcks but their inspectors never ask to see the records.
i want to put pressure on Visit Britain to rectify this and of course it will generate a huge volume of work.

so if you do pat test, particularly in a tourist area please post a reply.
