We have just moved into our new house and inherited a Paul Bocuse 4040db.
We have a problem with the right hand oven, when we turn it on it keeps tripping the electric. This happens after about 5 mins of power.
The element looks ok,but have not checked.I have noticed the element is touching the heat shield at bottom?.
Is this a common fault with this oven? and can any body be of assistance.
    Thanks

    Hi

The most probable cause is either the element earthing but it could be either the top double or bottom single element or the wiring connections to the elements. The electrics are basic so reliable.
The cooker will need to be pulled forward to get to the wiring connectors.

Thanks, the top grill element is new,
Are there any engineers that know about these ovens in the Coventry area?.
Could do with a price to repair and service(door on fan oven does not close properly. New seal fitted and A few other niggles).
    Thanks
