PCB Relays

I have recently replaced a couple of heater relays on the modules of 2 dishwashers I repaired. After reading the recent threads about changing a relay and a fuse on a Miele module, and in the pcb tips I was wondering if anyone can answer the following

1 Of the 5 pins used which ones are used for what?
2. What sort of ohms readings can I expect from which pin?
3. Can any readings be taken without desoldering the relay from the board?

I use a 12v doorbell battery to activate the coil and a low volt test lamp between the middle (off-set) leg and each of the opposite two in turn to determine with a reasonable degree of certainty which relay is faulty. This usually works without desoldering but is not definitive as relays sometimes work intermittently due to contacts being partly burnt or possibly solenoid mechanisms jammimg.

The 12v battery is a very good idea. I wanted to save time by not doing the old ‘trial and error’ routine. Thanks for your input.
