Hi,
I’ve got an old under-counter Philips fridge, with icebox. Sorry about not giving a model number – I know it’s a good decade or so old, but somehow can’t find the model number. If someone could let me know where it’s likely to be if the number would be handy…
Anyway, what’s happened is that the light has gone out in the fridge. As far as I can tell it’s still cooling OK – when I turn it to a cooler setting, the motor kicks in, at least… Is the light likely to be something I can repair myself? I’m reluctant to spend much on a fridge this old, so I guess – unless other problems are likely to follow from a blown light – I could also tolerate this for now…
I guess option 3 would be to replace the fridge, though. If so, can anyone recommend a decent, reliable, fairly cheap under counter fridge with ice compartment (or, ideally, with a separate freezer compartment if such a thing exists) Or, if I look for a secondhand fridge, any makes to look out for or avoid?
Thanks in advance for replies…
