Does anybody know where I could get a timer for this washing Machine ?
I’m sure I can hear a chorus of derisive laughter but I have to try !

    Long time obsolete…..

Might be worth a call to ASD Services on 0113 393 6680 – Whirlpool spares specialists; might have one in the back room somewhere.

    Hello smartin
The Timer consists of two columns of segmented discs. The main column, which assigns power to the various elements of the selscted programme is fine. The problem is with the secondary array which performs the function of reversing motor rotation and, when needed, switches in the demand for spin. The selection mechanism is worn and intermittently fails. It is probably more than 20 years old and very tired.I can overcome the mis-selection manually by advancing the appropriate cam but would prefer to replace the timer.

    Hello penguin45
Thanks for the advice.ASD services did not have the part-no surprise there. But at least I’ve received confirmation that as I suspected were I able to replace the timer I’d possibly get more years service out of this machine than its modern replacement.
