Ar ! the good old permag motor I remember it well, when I was at Philips we had a removal tool for this job which I think I still have. I will try and find it and post a picture for those interested. I just catch them with pipe pliers & turn them 90 degrees & then when the tab is broken off they pull out easilly. You have to fish out the broken tab before putting in new ones also.
