    Hi chaps,

I don’t know the proper name for these things, but they are the little tower that sits next to the burner ring and emits a spark to ignite the gas.

I’ve got a 10 year old Comet own brand hob and I’ve just broken one of these. It happens to be on the burner we use most.

Do you know what they are called and where I can get a new one ?

    Thanks,
    Richard

    hi

Several names but …an ignition candle will do,specify the position of the burner as they can be different lengths.

Comet sell spares by post they have a depot in Leeds somewhere, you will need the model number to get correct part.

    hope this helps.

As Ted mentions, Comet sell spares by post from Leeds, their number is 01132 310523 or it was the last time I checked anyway.

Many of the appliances they sell are exclusive to them, especially the obscurely named one’s, so you will most likely have to obtain it from them directly. Bear in mind though this is a gas appliance and legally they may be restricted on whether they can sell it or not.

    Dave.

Comet spares are now handled by CPC on 0870 6052020.

beware though, this part may not be as easy to change as it looks.
