Pin hole in tank

Hi all

I have had it happen in Zanussi and Bosch where you get a small pin hole in the base of dishwasher. It looks like a small rust spot but it is a tiny hole always by the salt pot or ledge inset of the filter assembly.

Is it the salt that causes this or the too much rinse aid in 5 in 1 tabs?

Has anyone else come across this?

Salt mostly causes this problem and usually nearest the salt container or the recess for the drain sieve.
