    Does anyone know which plastic type is used to make washing machine drums?

    The vast majority of tubs are made from polypropylene as THIS MANUFACTURER shows us.

    Only the Electrolux group use ‘carboran’ which is a mixture of carbon and synthetic polymers generally not re-cycleable though the compound can be melted down and reformed, or so I’m told. 😕

    I suspect the later production machines from Lux factories are using polyprop tubs these days. I can’t see any carboran logo markings on them anywhere?

    Just wanted to know so that I can see if I can find a good bonding adhesive for them.
