    Hi everyone,

I need to purchase a new fridge freezer (family growing too quickly !)

I definately want a small top freezer with a large capacity fridge, height not a problem and ideally would be no wider than 60cm.

Looked so far at AEG/SIEMENS/ MIELE/LEIBHER.

Anyone have any idea which would be the most reliable? and best at cooling as the kids are in and out of the fridge TOO MUCH !

Forgot to mention I would ideally like silver or stainless steel.
Are top freezer models OK ?
    Many thanks

    Hi

As far as the brands go, there is not a lot in it TBH, personally I like the Siemens machines but then I do have expensive tastes when it comes to appliances :rolls:

Liebherr K2734 only 55cm wide which may reduce storage capacity only available in white by looks of it.

Siemens KD40NA90GB 70cm wide but in stainless steel and with a five year warranty, does come with a heavier price tag though 😉

Miele no longer produce a freestanding machine only an integrated one ( wooden doors and a carcass are needed )

AEGS75328DT1 no longer a current model on AEg web site however Googling says still available from different sources. This one ticks all your boxes.

To help keep stainless steel clear of fingerprints, especially if the fridge is getting many visits a day we reccomend you purchase
Chromol 500ml stainless steel cleaner. not cheap but I have had very good results using it on our Neff and Bosch appliances.

    HTH

    Thanks Don,

that is a big help, I will take a look around on line and if a hefty price tag will just wait a while, always best long term to get what you really want.

Have you considered that you open the ‘fridge far more frequently than the freezer?

It is much better to have the freezer UNDER the ‘fridge, thus you don’t have tocontinually stoop to the floor for stuff at the bottom!
