    Hi Guys,
I have a Candy Wrighton (OVC245W / 3617900 628 0144) built in single oven. The other day I switched on my oven to cook a lovely Scotch egg and the bleeding things not working. The grill, clock etc works fine, the thermostat lights up Ok but the oven will not heat up. I guess it’s the oven element which has blown and I’m prepared to order and fit a new one.
Problem is it looks a helluva job to do! Do I have to remove the oven to get at the element from the back or can I get access from the front (ie. through the oven door)? It’s a built in oven so getting access to the back does not look easy. Please could someone brief me on how I go about this. I prefectly willing to have a go as I’m (quite) confident but just need some guidance. Many thanks in advance, Stewart

The element is this one in our shop:

The oven has to come out of the housing I’m afraid for this one 🙁

Power off please if you decide to fit yourself :zap: or otherwise you can find an engineer from the repairs@ link below 🙂

    Dave.

Thanks for swift reply. If I buy the element from your website today can you guarantee delivery by latest Saturday 25th? It gets dark pretty quick up here in Central Scotland!
    Thanks again, Stewart

It’s OK I need anyway so just went ahead and ordered the bit. Thanks for invaluable advice, Stewart 🙂
