Question is Clive, how many kitchens have you fitted?

Adam. ( 17 year old CAD student )

Actually finished fitting my ninth last week…but that’s just new kitchens, i’ve lost count of the number of makes of bits of kitchens i’ve had to rebuild in the course of 28 years appliance work. 😉

What the guys are trying to say, in a nice way Adam, is that we often have to sort out the c**k ups left by many a kitchen fitter, often causing the early demise of the appliance we’re there to see.

Kitchen fitters and designers are not our favourite people. 😉

Sorry everyone, I have helped my dad on many occasions now, fitting kitchens and removing them whenever I am on holliday I get roped into helping him and he has taught me the ins and outs. He has seen many kitchens in his time, and by god, has he seen some. He also fitted out Dixons and Currys stores when he was younger, so Kwatt, you’ll like my dad, because he is more in favour of making an appliance work, its why we have a Harwood fridge that is older than me, a 13 year old washing machine, an Electrolux deep freezer nearly as old as me and an Tricity Bendix tumbler and a Cannon wall grill, hob and oven, which were in our old house probably older than me, see he likes to keep things going, the washing machine as many of you may know is playing up, but it has not done bad for 13 years because my old man, has kept it well maintained and my mother kept it clean.
Sorry everyone again, but the Howdens kitchen we fitted is still shoddy, i’m not backing down on that. the shelves didnt fit, joints were split, 1000mm units with only 4 legs, the overall finish on the products ie. the cornice and pelmet was inadequte and the fact that one drawer front was missing, despite my dad trying to do his best with it and it does look good finished, it isn’t exactly the sort of kitchen company I’d want to go to.

I would recommend choosing the ones that have the extended warrantys for free such as the AEG ones.. although also make sure that u get ur form that u need to fill in and send back to the address on the back from ur retailer otherwise they wont accept it

Also speak with AEG if u dont get it and they can send u a PDF form
