Hi All. I have a Hotpoint WD865A washer/dryer. I stripped the washer for my gf to clean out some jets etc as the fabric conditioner was not leaving the tray.
On assembling the hotpoint back together i dropped a tiny black plastic pin looking part. There was a plastic screw, a spring and the spring pushes the tiny bit i have lost into the hole of the part.
I have stripped the hotpoint but it seems the part i lost is nowhere to be seen. (It is tiny).
I have put the hotpoint back together and everything appears to be working fine. The fabric conditioner now leaves the tray as it should. So frustrated that i dropped this tiny part. Was my first time repairing washer and i haven’t done to bad of a job apart from the obvious.
Please, Please please can someone identify the part i have lost and explain what the part does? Can i buy or make the part?
I was thinking of making my own part as it is only a tiny flat bit of plastic (the same diameter as the spring) with a 3mm bit poking out of it (probably the same thickness as a cocktail stick).
This is my first post. Sorry if my explanation is not very good. Thanks in advance. I hope i haven’t broke my gf’s hotpoint 🙁
