Please recommend me Fridge / Freezer

Hi guys,

Hope I will get some help as well.

Two years ago I bought Zanussi Fridge/Freezer ZNB323S (Silver). For last few months started giving me a problem as ice started builiding on the inner wall of the fridge. I called the Zanussi Engineer, his report to my insurance company is “The fridge/Frezeer is not repairable”, so my insurance compnay has offered me 350 quid to buy a new appliance. I can stretch upto 450 maximum.

Please recommended me something reliable.

1. Silver (So this it matches my Zanussi washing machine in Silver)
2. Frost Free
3. Reliable
4. Less than 500 quid
5. 70: 30 ratio (Fridge / Freezer)

Hi

That`s a tough criteria looking at the spec of the Zanussi you currently have and what you are looking for.

The nearest I can come up with is the Bosch KGH33X63GB, Hotpoint FF175MG and the Hotpoint FFP187MG. Out of the three it has to be the Bosch for me everytime, better build and a two year warranty.

Something above 300litres would be benefical as I am starting a family.

The only reason I hate zanussi is because of wired frost free mechanism. As we all know there is little hole in the inner wall of these fridges, when it goes into deforst the ice melts from the inner wall and drains though that hole. YOu have to take care of that hole for blockage. Hope this is not in Bosch.

Any particular reason why you prefer Bosch…

Last thing, is there a massive difference between 280litres and 317litres means size wise….

What about Samsung RL38SBPS. Is it reliable… It got everything which I want but not sure about reliablity.

Hi

Bosch for your budget are the best out there at the mo unless you want to up the budget then I would look at Liebherr. Samsung, if you get a good one fair enough but be warned they are not one of the quickest or easiest of companies to obtain parts or service info from.

Capacity difference 37 litres equates to approx 1.3 cu ft or about 4 large loaves of bread.

Bosch KGH34X64 Exxcel Silver Frost Free Fridge Freezer

I can’t see any difference…

or any other from bosch???

Hi

The 64 version is being made discontinued and the 44 is it`s natural replacement, I have no idea as to why and neither does my contact at Bosch. Same spec all round as far as I can see by using the comparison option on the Bosch website. However both versions are showing in stock at Bosch.
