    Just when I thought I have seen it all….installed a new Bosch diswasher for a customer today, connected drain, connected water aquastop, now…plug in all done….hang on no mains lead! Turns out its sitting in an unsealed and damp plastic bag in one of the baskets. Only a computer style plug in job! Socket in left hand bottom corner where it will get nice and damp! model SMS50E02GB/07

    Yep did one last week,after unpacking i thought Damm no mains lead,then looked inside to find it in a yellow bag 😳

    Kettles maybe but not dishwashers ❗

    Thought I would resuss this thread as today I had my first instance of trouble with one.
    Seems its worse than I thought, 2 years ago, as I did not realise at the time that the socket is straight onto the control pcb.
    Had one today which went bang in the night, dishwasher not even being used at the time. Board is powered up all the time the mains is on.
    Would seem the culprit was a worm or slug type creepy thing getting inside the module case and shorting the lot out. New pcb around £125 and fingers crossed its not fluffed the display board as well.
    You can see the worm on the module cover in this picture and the mains socket just infront of the screwdriver:

    And fingers crossed that the module is pre-configured? A lot coming out now need BSH to flash the Eeprom using laptops. 😥
