    Hi, Hope you can help.
My Bosch dishwasher isn’t filling properly. I have had the side off and cleaned the plastic filling device and the volume coming in seems to be fine. In fact there is so much coming in that it causes the float switch to cut it out regularly and this cuts the drain pump in for a short period. The net result is not enough water (the sump is nearly empty and washing improves when you chuck a couple of jugs of water in each cycle). Everything I read says water valve or fill switch? or timer but obviously I dont want to replace them all. Are there any more tests that I can do to isolate the problem.

    Thanks

    Ian

    Hi Ian,

I’m no Bosch expert but it sounds like a blockage or possibly a pressure switch fault. My first stop certainly wouldn’t be the PCB/timer.

Although, having said that, to overfill then drain isn’t right but often with these damn fill chambers you have to sit and work out what’s going on with them whcih often isn’t easy. Also, in those, even a partial block can cause a problem.

I’d suggest some pro help on this one.

As Ken says it is a blockage problem. In fact the corrugated tube that runs from the water level device to the tub is the culprit. Can be accessed after removing the lower front panel. 😉
