KeymasterI have a Beko CGA966 WH Fridge Freezer and no knowledge of how these things work to boot.
Recently I had noticed that the fridge had not been pulling temp and as such called out an engineer who said it had lost some gas, which he then added, however upon doing so the fridge has been making a bubbling noise and the black pipes at the back of it are very hot (not sure if that is supposed to be like that) which has never occured before, the fridge has been in this state for around 14 hours and despite doing a search on these forums I have found nothing of specific relevance.
I have also turned it off at the mains for a few seconds and it appears to start back up (bubbling included) fine, the temp on the firdge is also fine, I just want to know if this is safe or do I have a ticking time bomb on my hands as the fridge company dont seem to bothered, even to the point of calling the engineer to check if that sounds ok.
Any help is appreciated

It’s OK !
The pipes at the back are meant to get hot (they always will have done, you just didn’t/had no need to notice before) and the gurling noise is the top up gas, some of it will have been in liquid form. If the fridge is now down to temperature the engineer has diagnosed and repaired correctly.
Nothing to worry about 😀

Cheers for the advice Dave youve saved my underwear 😀
If I lower the units cooling level it tends to stop and it now only does it occasinally so it appears to be in order, thanks again mate.

It’s probably not your browser, the site may have been slow in reacting and you hit the “submit” button 3 times.
