    hi

Firstly I should say that I don’t know the model of this fridge-freezer – I’ve just moved into this house & it’s fitted into the units (and no visible ID plate).

The appliance works – but the pump seems to run almost all the time !

The only way I can get it to cut out is to turn the thermostat right down to 1 or 2.

Then when I set it to reasonable number, say 3, eventually the pump comes on … but then never seems to cutout again on it’s own.

    Is this normal ?

    thanks

What does a fridge thermometer say regarding temperature?

Ah, haven’t got one yet …. is top of shopping list.

I’m used to running fridges at 3+, but if I try it with this one, the back of the compartment gets iced up.

Is there anything common/obvious that would result in the pump/compressor not turning itself off (but can be turned off by turning the thermostat down) ?
