Following recent advice on here I have managed to keep my indesit d63 limping along but I seem to have an annoying fault that keeps coming back to haunt me.
I sometimes find that the innards get very hot mid cycle and sometimes items that have surviced dozens of washes end up getting melted in the wash.
I think this is caused by a blockage in the top spray arm meaning the element doesn’t get cooled by sprayed water.
I have a few small bits of potatoe skin or something floating about in that arm and every now and then one pops out of a spray hole and wedges itself blocking the hole.
I have tried removing them with tweezers etc but cannot seem to get rid totally. I therefore think it may be best to replace the spray arm.
I had a look in the shop section here on whitegoods but could not find anything.
I shall be emailing the shop people to see if one can be sourced but just wondered if I should be looking elsewhere in the machine before doing this.
My worry is that there may be half a potato sat somewhere in the innards and as soon as I replace the spray arm it will dispense another piece of debris just big enough to block a hole without being easily removable.
Is this the case and is there anything I can do to try and prevent future problems (such as check the drain filter is in place and intact – I have already done this)
Thanks for your advice.
