Thinking of buying a Smeg SUK91mfx cooker. Bargain.. but it’s said to need a new Power Board. What’s this and how much do these cost.

Power board implies an electronic control type of appliance.
Im not familiar with Smeg appliances to such a degree but this sounds like you should be careful.

Consider firstly why its a bargin……blown power board..WHY did it blow.

Smeg spares are hardly reasonably priced

There are several of our members who do Smeg repairs

You always get what you pay for and buying a broken appliance seems like the wrong move to me

all the best in whatever you decide

Smeg spares are actually (normally) not that bad, but I’ve never replaced one of those boards in an SUK91 and A1 Opera, yes once or twice, but not one on an SUK.

I’d be suspicious though as to the reason for sale as getting one that doesn’t work does not really sound like a bargain to me.

    K.
