    just to left of fuse, the other side of the red block. 4 legged square chip

    look up testing bridge rectifier online

    cheers the rectifier seems ok but did notice this is burnt out now which i did not notice first time round. how ever the fuse still works so it seems when i switched it on that happened.
    think i may look for a new board or new oven on ebay or something.

    well at about £3 off ebay + another resistor thats got to be worth a try

    could do i`m just wondering is there something else wrong with it though. the replacment fusible resistor was bigger i think the old one was probably less value i put 10ohm 3w.

    old one looks much smaller and i`m pretty sure its yellow violet gold gold now so maybe i should have bought a 470ohm either 2w or 1w resistor in the first place.

    dont worry about resistor it does 2 jobs. stops power inrush on turn on and act as a fuse for problems

    with the leg burnt off that circuit it may have blown with the surge

    you need to change the chip but check the bridge rec and other diodes
