Powerpoint Dishwasher IWD12

Hi Have a problem with dishwasher when i select any program nothing happens. Just a few bleeps and then i get E6 messaage on the display
anyone advise?

You in Ireland? Only references I can find to Powerpoint seem to be in Ireland. It’ll be some sort of proprietary machine with a badge stuck on it – if you’re lucky, it may be decent quality, SMEG say, if you’re unlucky it will be a Chinrese Haier machine.

I did find a forum discussing one of these, pointing out top basket failure and the door distorting – these are known Haier failures.

Any chance of a picture of the control panel and the base of the cavity? We may be able to make an informed guess from there.

Thanks for the quick reply Penguin45. Yes I am in Ireland. I will try and get some photos of the control panel, However I fear it is one of the Chinrese machines and dispite being just 16 months old and hardly used, is just fit for the dump.

Sounds to me that you have a badged Haier machine and I am afraid that the ones made around that time were not so good.

Apparently the latest incarnatioins are OK but that’s not going to help you too much.

Foaming up and problems with the baskets were the big issues.
