I’m bouncing tonight, passed last year’s total page views adn Google want to index our news. MASSIVE news, this is a voice to the world and, if it comes off and Google do index it we need to bide our time, a little patience goes a long way, but after the other news feeds pick us up… WOW!

Now I need to learn still more about press releases and writing for the media, not that I mind that at all. 😈

Sorry Ken but not being a fully paid up member of the uk net nurd society, could you explain a little more. It’s obviousley big news but in no more than one paragraph could you explain the ramifications of being ‘Indexed by Google’.
I’m I right in thinking that basically, more people will be directed to the site ?

    Re: PR

Basically our news, on the front page, would be exposed to the Google News site and appear on there as a legitimate newsfeed. Yes it would mean more traffic, quite possibly a substantial increase.

However there are issues with the way in which the URL’s are displayed per article as it would appear that Google can’t parse PHP too well, which was known anyway but I thought they’d fixed that particular indexing issue, apparently not.

Google already indexes and ranks UKW quite highly, something I’ve put a tremendous amount of work into as it is extremely valuable.

    Wow!!!!

I do understand the opportunity and risk involved given the power and reach of google.

This is the ideal opportunity to look at not just our ISE core messages but also UKW ones.

We can not maximise this media without them and we should also use them at the Conference in September.

When we have them it’s a simple tecnique of point, story, reinforce the point.

We also include a one sentence sound bite in all articles.

Great oppoetunity but remember PR is a double edged sword as unlike advertising you don’t control the message 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}.

    Cheers
