need to change over the cooling fan, the reason I am asking is it possible to do this without removing any gas pipes, as on some oven I have gone to this is the case,

Yes you can do this without undoing the gas pipes.. It’s also worth a note that if the pipework is over the cover ect then Just twist off the motor assembly and fit the new motor on its own without the blade and housing.
