Prima LPR661 – will not run (help please)

Hi,

Our Prima LPR661 has stopped working. There is no fault code showing, and powers up ok but will not start any programmes. The door is latching fine.

There is residual water in there from the last cycle and it did blow the fuse in the plug and take the breaker on the board out. I have cleaned all of the filters out and there is no large debris in the sump.

I’m suspecting the drain pump has burnt out? I can’t find any videos or drawings etc on line to be able to assess if I can replace it (if that is the problem).

Do the symptoms suggest it is a fault with the pump? I only suspect this due to the standing water which I think it would try and drain before starting a new cycle – but I’m no skilled dishwasher engineer.

Would the pump be hard to fit for a novice? I have seen them online for £45, but to be honest I’m not confident in doing it, and with replacement washers out there for £200 it may be this one is ready for the skip. Shame though as it is under 2yrs old.
