Just had to replace my trusty old printer after 10 years and was amazed at what I could get for £43.90 inc delivery and it perfoms really well.

Replacement ink cartridges £44.00.

It’s almost cheaper to replace the printer when it runs out of ink.

Generic cartridges not mfg genuine btw.

plus a lot of initial cartridges are only half full

Yeah, the cartridges supplied with new printers are generally nearly empty. The high capacity genuine ones will typically last 5 times as long. It’s worth playing around with print quality settings to save ink. Plus print in black & white when you don’t need colour, and print 2 pages per sheet to save ink.

I always research the price of non gen ink before I buy a new printer. I now find my xerox lasers are as cheap to run as inkjets.

My old printer was tank fed and due to lack of use the printer head would clog and need a deep clean which would blow through about £10 worth of ink to clear it and as it was almost out of ink it had to go.
I only print about 5 pages a month so I am happy with the cheap printer and it is very good.

If you hardly print anyting getting one that will remain okay standing still for ages is a nightmare, probably a laser best as inkjets will gunk up.
