Do the own brand dishwasher products such as Tesco do as good a job as the more expensive Finish? Surely there is not much difference between finish and Tesco rinse aid apart from the packaging and maybe fragrance? I have also found the Finish All in one tablets not great at cleaning i.e. cups are not shiny and a film left behind. I am thinking the Finish products have been dumbed down for them to concentrate on marketing the Quantum range?

There are differences although I do think Finish is overrated and overpriced personally.

Use the Fairy stuff, I find it better.

Although there are others that are supposed to be reasonable the generic supermarket stuff is often not as well formulated. Whether you’d notice or not is another thing entirely.

I wouldn’t mind betting you’re not using salt yet live in a hard water area then?

Personally I always use finish rinse aid, have tried others but definitely not as good, however we always use aldi’s own brand tablets that work just fine and a fraction of the cost

I always use the Aldi products which work fine.

Having said that though I don’t have expensive crocks to ruin so can’t justify using the branded stuff which may or may not be kinder on the glaze.
