i was called to fit one of the above..whay=t a struggle…the template to fit the door brackets was no use whatsoever..however by trial and error i got the panel on the door after about 4 attempts so that it fitted correctly. then i found that the door would not stay down to enable comfortable loading of the dishes etc. there is a small bit of info on the fitting instuctions about adjusting the door springs, this is via two holes either side of the door catch. i did not have a suitable tool in the box. i tried phillips, crosshead drivers, flat bladed driver all to no avail. even with a torch i could not see any adjusting slot, groove, or nut which could be turned…any experiance out there in the real world?
Suspicions……. You’re describing an Indesit-style built-in, however Comet being a capitalist, greed driven, how-much-margin-can-we-make, bucket shop outfit, this is almost certainly the Chinese copy……..
I can only suggest that you drag the thing forward and have a look at the top rail where the cables run and see what they’ve fitted – from what you’ve described, there’s only Torx left!
